Esprit Park Condominiums

A full city block of Dogpatch, built in 1906 as the Schilling Wine Cellars warehouse complex and later famous as the world headquarters of Esprit de Corp, the clothing company founded by Doug and Susie Tompkins. The 2008 conversion kept the brick facades and heavy timber framing throughout.

Roughly 145 loft-style condos (published counts vary between 142 and 147) run from about 800 to 3,000 square feet, across the street from Esprit Park itself — the green the company donated to the neighborhood. One caution for searchers: the "Parc Esprit" apartments at 840 Minnesota are a separate building; don't conflate the two.

Dogpatch is the strongest loft neighborhood story in the city right now — the Minnesota Street Project galleries, the waterfront parks, and a converted-industrial identity that survived the boom intact.
