Here he is folks, at 18 years old. "The White Bandit".

Above, Chic holding the Bandit for me to get a close up picture of his eye. Not the best picture. I need a better camera for this type of shot!

Here is Chic feeding the birds after their 50 mile training toss.

That's Chic going to trap in the birds after they came home from a training toss.

That's me holding the actual FREAKIN!! "White Bandit"

Chic Brooks was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He walked us through most of his lofts and I have to tell you they are awesome. The breeding loft is amazing. Each pair has about a 4x6 foot section all to themselves and the place is spotless. While we were there, Chic's wife Judy had taken the birds for a 50 mile training toss and we were hoping to see them return. I think while we were in the breeding loft, they made it home and we only saw one bird trap. Chic took us into the race loft and he fed the birds and showed us the loft. Very nice!! All in all, it was a great trip and one that I will never forget. I have added some other pictures I took while I was there and hope you enjoy them.

Let me tell you about my trip to Hapyco. I went there with a friend of mine Ali, who is still racing. He wanted to go to see Chic Brooks (the owner of Hapyco) to talk about a pigeon that he bought at a auction and asked me if I would like to go. Of course I said yes and was hoping to see some of the offspring of the Bandit. Well, to my surprise I found out that the Bandit was still alive. I could not believe it, as I new that he would have been well over 15 years old. When we first saw him in the loft section that he was housed in, he was on the ground with a group of birds and he did look his age. I have to tell you though, once Chic caught him and we took a look at him, I set him on the perch that he is on in the above picture and he just posed. I mean look at him, he looks great!!! Definitely one of the best pigeon memories I will ever have.
